Understanding the Problem of Sin and the Answer in Jesus

The truth is that a lot of what passes for Christianity in today’s world is cluttered with a lot of things that just don’t  matter.  People love theology, they love traditions, rituals, and all sorts of pomp and ceremony.  Little, if any, of that relates to the simple message of salvation found in the Bible.  In the lessons found on this page, we’re going to take you through an easy, but vitally important journey to understanding the problem of sin and God’s answer in Jesus Christ.

Here’s how it works.  Click the links below in numerical order.  Use your Bible to look up the verses, read the lesson text, then answer the questions.  The studies work by email.  Go at  your own pace, but you should be able to do one lesson per day.  Answer the questions, then email the completed lessons to minister@forsinnersonly.us.  We will check your answers and return the lesson to you.  While we’re scoring your completed lesson, go ahead and start the next one.  If we think your answers reflect a lack of understanding, we’ll point you back to the section(s) you need to restudy.  We’ve tried to make this as easy as possible, but we also want you to understand the information found in the Bible.

Important!  Many people who realize they have a sin problem also experience guilt.  Guilt can range from something mild to something desperate.  Please remember, guilt should be a motivator to find a resolution and answer that brings relief.  God’s message condemning sinners is important, but it’s not the final part of His message.  Salvation is the final part.  God has done everything to make forgiveness and reconciliation possible.  Don’t miss this!  The relief for guilt is found in Jesus Christ.  You cannot erase the fact of your sins.  You can be forgiven, redeemed, saved, justified, and glorified.  Focus there.
